One of the most intellectually rigorous liberal arts colleges in the nation, Reed is a small, selective nonsectarian college in Portland offering a single undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree with majors in 26 disciplines spanning arts, humanities, natural sciences, and social sciences. Famous for its required year-long humanities core course, senior thesis requirement for every student, and its culture of serious academic inquiry.
