Manhattanville College is a four-year, independent, coed, liberal arts institution, founded in 1841, with a diverse student body offering small classes and a result driven, value-based education.

On its 100-acre campus 30 miles north of New York City, Manhattanville College has created a small global village, while its proximity to New York City creates a constant flow of opportunity that brings learning to life.

The college draws its student body of 1,700 full-time undergraduates and 1,000 graduate students from over 55 different countries and 35 states. If you’d like to take the next step in your earning your bachelor’s degree, register to attend a Transfer Wednesday program where you can receive an admissions decision on the spot.

Manhattanville’s mission is to educate students to be ethical and socially-responsible leaders in a global community. The College’s social conscience is informed by a commitment to serving the community — whether it’s the surrounding geographic area, where undergraduates logged 32,290 hours of service in a year — or the global community, which student access through Manhattanville’s extensive study-abroad program.

The Manhattanville curriculum nurtures intellectual curiosity and independent thinking. With a student–faculty ratio of 16:1, students and faculty form close collaborative relationships. Ninety percent of faculty hold the highest terminal degree in their field. Under the guidance of a faculty adviser, the student maps his or her academic program, establishing a major from different branches of the liberal arts. Learning is integrative and reflective.

Over 95 percent of Manhattanville students receive some form of financial assistance. Academic merit scholarships for transfer students range from $10,000 to $17,000 per year.
