Saint Joseph’s College in Maine is a Catholic liberal arts college offering more than 40 academic programs with a career focus. The 474-acre campus is located on beautiful Sebago Lake — just a half hour from Portland, Maine’s largest city, and two hours from Boston.

Transfer students may enroll in both the fall and spring semesters. As a transfer, you can receive the same amount of merit scholarship as first year students. Our Merit Scholarship ranges from $11,000 to $19,000 based off of your GPA at pervious institutions. Upon acceptance you are given a credit evaluation, and then assigned an advisor to help you understand how your credits transfer in and what your remaining time looks like at Saint Joseph’s! We understand that your financial needs and use of your credits are important pieces to help decide if Saint Joseph’s is the right fit for you!

With 1,000 students, classes are small and professors are accomplished, yet friendly. Teaching and students are their priority. They know your name, and they’re always willing to meet with you. Your professors’ network of professional contacts with businesses and organizations will help you obtain internships in your chosen field. And that can make all the difference when looking for a job.

On top of a wide variety of majors, Saint Joseph’s wants to provide students with the support they need. The Academic Center of Excellence provides skills workshops, mentoring and tutoring programs; the career development center offers career advising, access to employment opportunities and internships, and career fairs.

And when you want to step away from the books you can take advantage of the hundreds of acres of the Saint Joseph’s campus, which includes brand-new outdoor courts and a Turf field complex, miles of nature trails, a working organic farm, and beachfront real-estate along the gorgeous Sebago Lake. Or take the chance to explore what Saint Joseph’s has to offer outside of the Campus with study away programs in over 250 countries, mission trips to Haiti and Guatemala, and getaways to Boston, New York, and Quebec!
