Wilberforce University

Wilberforce University is the first private historically Black institution of higher learning in the United States, founded by the African Methodist Episcopal Church. Wilberforce's mission is to provide a rigorous academic education grounded in the AME Christian tradition cultivating graduates of intellectual excellence, spiritual formation, and civic commitment who are prepared for professional careers and lives of meaningful service to the Church and society.
