A State University of New York at Oswego education provides a world of opportunities to put learning and scholarship into meaningful action. The College holds the prestigious Carnegie designation for community engagement and is a SUNY leader in cooperative education, integrating workplace experience with academic study.

Oswego offers more than 110 academic programs in its four academic divisions: College of Liberal Arts and Sciences; School of Business; School of Education; and School of Communication, Media and the Arts. U.S. News & World Report includes Oswego in “America’s Best Colleges.”

Whether you’re coming from a community college, other four-year institution or schooling abroad, Oswego looks to provide maximum value from your previously earned credits with minimum hassles, thanks to excellent transfer advising and other academic support services.

Small classes offer students the opportunity for invaluable interaction with faculty and peers. Oswego’s faculty and students actively participate in research and creative activities. The College stresses the importance of undergraduate research, enabling advanced research for undergraduates that other institutions offer only at the graduate level.

What happens to you outside the classroom during your time at Oswego can be just as important as what happens inside the classroom. More than 200 registered clubs and organizations offer exciting ways to get involved. Participating in student clubs and organizations is a great way to build friendships while learning leadership and responsibility.

As of 2018-19, tuition for New York State residents is $6,870 for the year, $16,650 for out-of state residents. Transfer students are eligible for the $2,000 Transfer Achievement Scholarship.
