Western New England University is a growing destination for transfer students. Our reputation for personalized attention—from the transfer process to the support of faculty—make Western New England a place where transfer students can feel at home and truly excel.

Our Transfer Distinction Award is another great reason why Western New England is an excellent choice for transfer students. Qualifying transfer students with an Associate’s degree are eligible for our new Transfer Distinction Award. This scholarship guarantees recipients a merit award of $13,000 per year, and $2,000 additional (for a total of $15,000) for Phi Theta Kappa members. To qualify students will have earned, or will earn an associate’s degree before enrolling at Western New England University, have a 2.50 or better cumulative GPA from any/all accredited institutions attended, and must  meet the Western New England University academic requirements for their chosen major. They must be enrolling as a full-time student. We also offer generous academic merit scholarships to those students who have not earned an Associate’s degree.

With nearly 50 undergraduate programs and many time- and tuition-saving combined bachelor’s and master’s degrees, Western New England University offers a great educational experience at an excellent value for transfer students.

“Outstanding academic facilities” was the top reason students chose us in a student survey. More than $60 million have been spent in recent years on academic facilities. They form the core of our modern and picturesque New England campus, which welcomes both residential and commuting transfer students. Outstanding athletic facilities and a new dining hall coming next year all add to the great student experience in our learning community.
